A feather fan is a shamanic therapeutic tool. In the distant past only the shamans used it in a ritual context for healing or in a family/community ceremony in the Native American tipi.
In Indian ceremonies that I attended in the USA, the Elders shared that most of their younger generation is not interested in learning the Indian / shamanic knowledge, so they pass the knowledge on to the white man who accepts with respect, love and a desire to continue the Indian way.
And so this powerful tool becomes accessible to be used as a therapeutic tool for energetic cleansing and releasing blockages from the body even in the modern treatment room in combination with mind-body psychotherapy. In this workshop we will connect to each and every one's personal totem animal and learn to create a feather fan from the energy of the totem animal.
The importance here is that we do not create the fan, these are our totem animal, and thus we create an energy therapy tool of the highest level.
Also, connecting to our animal allows for more accurate learning in the use of the fan for shamanic treatment.
The entire workshop is dedicated to preparing a fan and learning how to use it whether it is in the treatment room with a patient or energetic cleansing at home, for working with children, for cleaning a space in a group event such as a singing circle, a ceremonial circle, a wedding, for use as a blessing for the participants in a ceremonial event and more...
In the workshop I will demonstrate the use of the fan, we will divide into pairs and practice on each other.
No prior knowledge of the art is needed at all.
The one-of-a-kind workshop is intended for therapists who want to learn to work with a fan in the treatment room. For people who are interested in shamanism, for people who are already experienced and interested in purchasing more shamanic therapeutic tools. For facilitators of singing circles/or ritual circles.
