What is transpersonal psychotherapy body mind spirit?
Transpersonal psychology relates to the human essence, to the soul, to the divine spark (and not necessarily in a religious sense). The transpersonal approach treats a person as a whole, while referring to their physical, mental and spiritual aspects. The process is designed to help the patient open their heart to their spiritual nature and allow the qualities of this nature to be expressed, so that the encounter with the self and the other will be more authentic and deeper. The approach offers an opportunity to understand that there is meaning and purpose to the difficulties and conflicts that we experience throughout life.
Hello, I'm Tal Arnon,
I am a fourth-year doctoral student in transpersonal psychology and have a master's degree in somatic psychotherapy (body - soul) on behalf of the California Institute of Integral Studies.
I lived for about 16 years in San Francisco where I did my master's degree and my internship.
Today, I am researching trauma treatment methods and the combination of traditional native medicine and western medicine.
I teach a master's degree in integrative psychotherapy at the Haifa University of Psychotherapy and Shamanism and at Reichman University as a guest lecturer in the psychedelic psychotherapy course.
I also teach both in Israel and the USA workshops and courses for therapists combining traditional work with modern treatment using authentic and traditional healing tools that I learned from natives and shamanic healers in South America
A wide variety of people of different ages and at different stages of life come to me.
Women and men who face crisis situations throughout the different stages of life.

Transpersonal psychology
Transpersonal psychotherapy is a current in psychology that began to develop in the 60s of the 20th century. The meaning of the term transpersonal is "beyond the person", "beyond the personality", "beyond the ego and self", "spiritual", "spiritual". The main thinkers from whom the ideas of the method were drawn are Carl Gustav Jung, William James and Abraham Maslow. Researchers in the field of transpersonal psychology claim that the development of human consciousness does not stop and reaches its peak when the ego becomes mature, healthy and developed, but that there are always other possibilities and horizons open to man for the expansion of consciousness that include spiritual-cosmic recognition. This recognition can occur through spiritual experiences that include the expansion and extension of awareness beyond the normal boundaries of the ego and beyond the limitations of time and space. Transpersonal psychology can be likened to a tree: the top is the transpersonal (the spirit, beyond the personal), and the roots are psychology (the soul body - the personal). Transpersonal psychology relates to the essence of man - to the soul, to the divine spark (and not necessarily in the sense of religious worship). The transpersonal approach treats a person as a whole, while referring to his physical, mental and spiritual aspects. The way of working is built to help the patient open his heart to his spiritual nature and allow the qualities of this nature to be expressed, so that the encounter with the self and the other will be more authentic and deeper. The approach offers an opportunity to understand that there is meaning and purpose to the difficulties and conflicts that we experience during life. According to this concept, we all come into the world with embodied human virtues such as compassion, peace, love, humility and more. As a person grows older, he puts on protective layers and walls of laws, fears and behavior patterns that make it difficult for him to connect with the powers inherent in him from birth. During the treatment, observation, listening and self-work take place that bring the person closer to his primary virtues so that the sense of completeness and peace is strengthened. According to this approach, the therapist will listen beyond the "story" and concentrate on the question: What is the deep thing that the patient's soul longs for? What are the feelings underlying his being? What is the learning or the lesson that lies in the story of life? What qualities did he or she develop as a result of the experiences they had? It is not possible to study psychology with a transpersonal approach only in an intellectual way. It is necessary to feel it, since we are talking about the human "essence" that goes beyond words. The main tool at work is the therapist's personality and consciousness.
RHS - Relational Somatic Healing
is a therapeutic approach that combines dialogue, providing space for the relationship between the therapist and the patient and what happens in the body and touch, which was developed by Shirley Dvir. The approach teaches perception and tools for therapeutic work that allows building healthy and benevolent relationships and deepening self-acceptance. The treatment of developmental trauma and attachment wounds are at the center of the approach, through an experience in the "here and now" of a healthy and correct relationship between the therapist and the patient, paying attention to relationships and touch. The contact work within the treatment helps the patient to experience himself, to go deeper into the body and encourage the body's natural ability to move towards healing. Turning attention to the body and developing the ability to experience it and learn through it the longings in connection, are the central axis of the contact work, which supports the healing movement.
Hakomi
It is an experiential approach to the therapeutic and interpersonal space. This is a gentle way to become familiar with the automatic habits that cause us unnecessary suffering, and prevent us from being truly present for ourselves and others. The method was originally created as a body-centered psychotherapy about 40 years ago, and has since been in constant development and application expansion around the world. The creator of the method, the late Dr. Ron Kurtz, a psychotherapist from the USA who received a lifetime achievement award in 2008. In a sensitive and non-judgmental environment, the ways in which they are used to experiencing themselves and the world, others and their relationships with them. He develops the ability to see the situation more clearly, and to distinguish between destructive, deceptive and suffering patterns, and factors that encourage mental growth through connection with the other and with the inner reality. In order to create suitable conditions for such a process, an attentive approach is cultivated that embraces ignorance, non-effort and non-violence into a substrate that supports the discovery and healing that arise from themselves. The approach develops the ability to suspend interpretation, decision and intellectual knowledge when these interfere with deeper connection and knowledge; but also the possibility to use knowledge and experience to identify what is happening before our eyes and to join the happening in beneficial ways. The Akumi approach focuses on the current experience in its various manifestations, and uses the physical and non-verbal as paths to a person's unconscious and to their inner organization.
Craniosacral method
The Craniosacral Therapy method emerged from the world of osteopathy and uses the cranial system of the body to bring it into balance and healing. The organs of the cranial system are the skull bones (Cranium) and the sacrum - the bone that connects the pelvic bones (Sacrum), hence the name of the method. The treatment method is based on the movement of the cerebrospinal fluid (Cranio-sacral fluid) that surrounds the brain and flows through the spine using very gentle pressure. The Craniosacral Therapy method is based on gentle touch and, thanks to its softness, allows work on very deep layers of the human body that do not cause pain and allow the patient's healing powers to be mobilized for healing and releasing blockages. The method affects the patient on several levels: On the physical level - it relieves many pains and improves the range of motion of the body's organs. On the emotional level, it can release blocked emotions in a significant but gentle way. In terms of the therapeutic space, the technique allows for a deeper connection and empathic expression of the therapist to the patient. People who have undergone craniosacral therapy often talk about the dramatic change and difference this technique has made. The importance of the technique is also in creating a supportive and accepting space. Such a space allows for deeper healing and allows the person to feel that they are accepted as they are.
A combination of mind, body, spirit psychotherapy and shamanic work enables a connection to the subconscious and to the significant learning processes in human life, thus bringing a significant balance to all the parts within us.
The combination of physical psychotherapy with the virtues of shamanic work, which listens and respects the spirit and the forces of nature, brings balance and healing to a person and his environment.
The internal relationships in a person are an integral part of the living and multifaceted world around us.
As a therapist I am amazed by the ability of traditional shamanic medicine to treat a variety of physical and mental problems.
In our time, ancient and secret knowledge, passed between shamans and traditional healers, was revealed to the Western world.
